Climb Big Mountain has been a beloved Flathead Valley tradition since 1992, bringing the community together for an outdoor adventure that marks the start of summer. Participants can take on the 3.8-mile hike up the scenic Danny-On Trail at Whitefish Mountain Resort, or simply enjoy the activities and celebration at the base.
At the base, attendees enjoy live music, a classic BBQ lunch, ice cream, and an array of family-friendly activities. Past years have included face painting, games, and interactive activities featured in our kids zone. Climb Big Mountain is a gathering of outdoor enthusiasts, families, and friends to celebrate community, the beauty of Montana, and the arrival of summer sunshine.
